I love combining my love for nature with my love of yoga.
Hi, I’m Amber.
I’ve been teaching yoga in picturesque Park City, Utah, since 2016. Movement and helping others have always been at the heart of who I am. As a young girl, dance was my outlet for self-expression, creativity, and joy. Though I didn’t realize it then, it was also my way of processing emotions and moving energy.
Fast forward to 2011, when a ski trip turned into a love affair with Utah’s mountains, and Park City became my home. After relocating from Cincinnati, I stumbled upon a yoga studio within walking distance of my new condo. That serendipitous discovery changed my life forever.
For nearly 15 years, I struggled with an eating disorder, navigating every treatment option imaginable—from long-term inpatient care to outpatient therapy, nutritionists, medications, and self-help resources. While each played a role in my journey, yoga provided the missing piece. It offered me a philosophy and way of living that fostered self-love, deep healing, and clarity for questions I had long carried.
In those early years, I dove into my personal practice, embraced the mountains, and unearthed a transformation that was more profound than I ever imagined. Yoga became more than a physical practice—it became a pathway to self-empowerment. It gave me the strength to end my battle with addiction and addictive behaviors, a sense of home within my body, and a connection to nature that grounded and inspired me. Most importantly, it gave me a purpose: to help others heal.
I completed my first 200-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training in 2014 with Rebecca Bedel in Cincinnati, Ohio. This training introduced me to the transformative world of somatics and fascia, laying the foundation for my teaching journey. While I met all the Yoga Alliance requirements, I still didn’t feel ready to teach. However, the following year, my Park City teacher, Tiffany Wood, offered her 200-hour training, and everything clicked. The Anusara lineage emphasizes alignment, heart-centered teachings, and a positive, life-affirming philosophy. In Anusara, I found my true home.
From that point on, there was no looking back. My journey became about sharing what I had discovered—helping others connect to their own power to heal, grow, and thrive. Since then I fully immersed myself, attending countless workshops, trainings, and retreats. The depth of knowledge I gained—from anatomy, alignment, and biomechanics to yoga therapy, philosophy, and the art of holding the teacher’s seat—has profoundly shaped the teacher I am today.
Like so many, the COVID era prompted a deep dive into what truly matters. From 2021 to today, I have navigated profound healing—grieving the loss of my beloved dog and a best friend, as well as subconscious patterns and beliefs. In the yoga world, we often refer to this as a dark night of the soul. It was during this life-changing period that I discovered the immense power of energy work. In June 2024, I completed my Reiki Level 1 and 2 and am currently working toward my Reiki Master certification. I am also deeply engaged in studying Somatics, Trauma-Informed Yoga, and Breathwork as transformative modalities for healing, release, and stepping into our fullest potential.
With over 500 hours of training, I am passionate about sharing the gifts of yoga and energy work. Whether leading public classes, private sessions, energy sessions, outdoor yoga adventures, corporate groups, wedding parties, family yoga, yoga therapy, or hosting monthly ceremonies, my heart overflows with gratitude. Every opportunity to share is a chance to touch lives, foster healing, and create meaningful connections.
